Abide These Three

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. ~2 Corinthians 5:20

 

Nine months

In her womb

She carried Him

After an angel’s visit

Through the shadow of the Most High

She carried God’s Son

 

She was just a young girl in a small town

With hopes and dreams and joys

But God invited her

To take part in His redemptive plan

So she carried Him

She carried Him

 

Dead weight

Soaked in blood

He carried Him

After darkness shook the earth

Through the streets to his new cave tomb

He carried God’s Son

 

He was just a teacher in a busy city

With loves and thoughts and wants

But God invited him

To take part in His redemptive plan

So he carried Him

He carried Him
